Getting Started
1. Pick a Photo — Tap "Choose Image" on the home screen to select a photo from your device.
2. Select Difficulty — Swipe the difficulty selector to choose a grid size. Larger grids are harder.
3. Start Playing — Tap "Scramble!" to shuffle the tiles. Slide tiles into the empty gap to reassemble the image.
4. Solve — When every tile is back in place, you win.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I select a photo?
Make sure Scramage has permission to access your photo library. Go to your device's Settings → Apps → Scramage → Permissions and enable Photos / Storage.
How do I unlock harder difficulties?
Solve puzzles at lower difficulties to unlock the next level. Each difficulty shows the unlock requirement. You can also enable Buddha Mode in your profile to skip unlocking.
Can I re-scramble the same image?
Yes. After solving, tap "Scramble!" again for a fresh shuffle of the same image.
How does puzzle sharing work?
After scrambling, tap the share icon to upload the puzzle and generate a link. Send the link to a friend via any messaging app. They open the link, download the puzzle, and solve it in the same scrambled state.
My shared puzzle link isn't working
Shared puzzles expire after 30 days. Make sure the recipient has Scramage installed. If the link still doesn't work, try sharing again to generate a new link.
How do I change the control mode?
Go to your Profile page to toggle between Jump mode (tap to slide) and Smooth drag (press and drag tiles).
What are coins for?
Coins let you use features like image preview, hints, and undo during gameplay. Earn coins by solving puzzles and completing daily drops.
Troubleshooting
App crashes or freezes
Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, clear the app cache (Settings → Apps → Scramage → Clear Cache). Your game progress is saved automatically.
Firebase / sharing errors
Sharing features require an internet connection. If you see permission errors, make sure you're running the latest version of Scramage from the Play Store.
